Celebration and discussion on next steps

The last several days have been inspiring. Young people turned out in unprecedented numbers to vote against a divisive agenda that threatened the most marginalised, not least migrants. Not only that, countless took to the streets to actively campaign for change.

Shortly after the remarkable election results, the Guardian indicated that Trump has postponed his state visit due to our protests. Reports are conflicted, and it’s not yet clear what the President’s next moves are regarding the visit, but what is clear is that people power has put the Right on the back-foot.

There will be a meeting at Housmans Radical Bookshop on Wednesday at 7pm, not only to celebrate these victories (there will be refreshments!), but also to discuss how we can continue to push back against the Right in the months ahead. Activists from Stop Trump and various other organisations will be attending. Everyone is welcome. Please do join us!

14th June, 7:00pm Housmans Radical Bookshop, 5 Caledonian Rd, Kings Cross, London N1 9DY
